Citrus College Reinstates the Evening Esthetician Program

This spring semester, Citrus College will again offer its evening Esthetician Program, beginning Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

The Esthetician Program is a one-year evening program that prepares students to help clients attain and maintain healthy skin and an attractive appearance through proper skin care and makeup.

Students will learn to administer specialized skin care treatments suited to an individual’s needs, as well as makeup techniques that compliment the clients’ individual facial characteristics and features.

After completing the one-year evening program, students will be eligible to take the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Esthetics License exam.

Students who are interested in enrolling in the evening Esthetics Program must first apply for admission to Citrus College.  To apply and enroll visit www.citruscollege.edu and go to “Admissions and Records” located in the “Admissions, Registration, Records” section of the home page.

Upon admittance as a Citrus College student, Esthetician Program students must register for COSM 199(a) this spring. Classes begin February 19 and will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

In addition to paying the college’s mandatory fees, the Esthetician Program requires each student to purchase a kit. The cost of the kit is approximately $1,416 plus a miscellaneous cost of $100.
