Citrus College Hosts Mental Health Awareness Workshop
Wednesday, June 5, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Citrus College and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health will hold a one-day workshop designed to increase awareness of the resources, services and programs available in treating mental illness. The workshop, “Pathways to Wellness,” will include sessions covering mental health first aid, navigating the public mental health system, mental wellness for students, and support for veterans, and more.

The Campus Center is located at the center of the Citrus College campus.
Recent national events have focused on the importance of early diagnosis of mental illnesses and early intervention. In addition to the workshops, a variety of vendors will offer information on mental health prevention and resources available to the community.
The event is open to the public. A one-day parking pass may be purchased for $5 at the Campus Safety Office drive-up window, located on the Citrus Avenue side of the campus, or at one of the kiosks located in the student parking lots.
