is the student portal for Cal Grant, Chafee and middle class scholarship awards. The California Student Aid Commission contacts students via email, thus it is critical stdents' information is kept current on
WebGrants 4 Students
Cal Grants are designed to assist low and middle-income families with tuition, fees, and training costs. Eligibility is based on a student's grade point average, student/parents income and a student's course of study.
Cal Grant deadlines are March 2 and September 2.
This program offers three types of state grants:
Cal Grants A, B and C
Cal Grant A
Cal Grant A recipients may only use the award at a four-year college or university. Community College students may qualify for Cal Grant A if he/she is considering in attending a four year institution. However, if he/she will be attending a community college prior to transferring, the grant can be placed on hold while attending a community college. Upon transferring, the student may then activate their Cal Grant to receive payment.
Cal Grant B
Cal Grant B awards at Citrus College are up to $1672 per academic year (2017-18 school year). This grant is for qualifying students that are attending Citrus College with the intention of receiving a two-year degree (AA/AS) and/or transferring to a four-year institution. Students must be enrolled in six units or more per semester.
Cal Grant C
Cal Grant C awards are up to $1094 per academic school year (2017-18 school year). This grant is for qualifying students that are attending Citrus College to pursue a vocational certificate (The program must be an eligible certificate program). Students must be enrolled in six units or more per semester.
Full Time Student Success Grant (FTSSG)
The FTSSG is an incentive designed to encourage students to maintain full-time enrollment status and graduate or transfer sooner. To qualify for the FTSSG, students must be enrolled full time and receiving a Cal Grant B or Cal Grant C. The FTSSG is $1000 per academic year. This grant is available to AB540 students.
Community College Completion Grant (CCCG)
The Community College Completion Grant (CCCG) is a grant that is given to eligible Cal Grant B and Cal Grant C students that have received a Full-time Student Success Grant (FTSS) award for the same term. The CCCG is paid to students attending in least 15 units at a rate of $750 per semester.
