The Historical Society of Monterey Park is honoring the memory of Laura Scudder, a Monterey park entrepreneur of potato chip fame, by awarding two (2) $3000 scholarships to students who are pursuing their education in an institution of higher learning and are currently enrolled in the field of Nursing, Culinary Arts or Business.

Eligibility
• Must have completed a minimum of (1) year of basic education courses necessary for completion of his/her chosen field at an institution of higher learning
• Applicants must attend a community college, culinary school located in the San Gabriel Valley
• Must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA (Official Transcripts must be provided)
• Must be a citizen of the United States
• Applications must be submitted with (3) letters of recommendation
