Eligibility Requirements
• Scholarships are offered only to students currently enrolled in a SCHEC institution who will be transferring to a SCHEC four-year college/university or professional school during the 2012-2013 academic year.
• Must earn at least a 2.0 GPA during the previous term and this must be verified
The committee will look for the following when reading your application:
• Overall and transfer G.P.A.
• Preparation for major and for general education
• Clarity of essay
• Goals: How your interest developed, challenges you are facing, number of hours you are working, if you are a first generation college student, cultural
• Influences, involvement at a community college, and level of motivation
• Your potential for future success based on the appraisal forms references (classroom faculty preferred)
