Trustee Area #2 - Claremont and portions of Pomona and La Verne Representative

Community College District Board of Trustees in 1999, and was reelected in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015. She represents the city of Claremont and portions of Pomona and La Verne. She currently serves as vice president of the Board of Trustees.
In addition to serving five terms as president of the Citrus Community College District Board of Trustees, Mrs. Keith was elected in the spring of 2013 and re-elected in 2016 by her peers across California to serve on the Board of Directors of the California Community College Trustees (CCCT). She is a Resource Team member for the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative established by the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to assist colleges with accreditation and serves on a CCCT Financial Aid Task Force.
Mrs. Keith has been a strong advocate of the California Community College's local, state and national legislative agendas. She is a member of Assemblymember Chris Holden’s Educational Advisory Committee and past liaison with the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association. She has worked on successful initiatives that promote collaboration between community colleges and K-12 districts, including dual enrollment, which makes it possible for high school students to pursue a community college associate degree concurrently with a high school diploma. Mrs. Keith has also been an active advocate of the extension of the Metro L Line (Gold) light rail from Pasadena to Claremont.
Mrs. Keith was a 12-year member and past president of the Claremont Unified School District Board of Education. She also served as president for a number of years of the Baldy View ROP Commission. She has served on the board of directors for a number of community organizations, including Options for Learning, an East San Gabriel Valley child development program; the Claremont Youth Master Plan Partnership; the Citrus College Foundation; the Claremont Forum; and the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. She was a founding board member of the first Meals on Wheels in the Pomona Valley. Mrs. Keith is a member of the Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters of Mt. Baldy Area and a recent past president of the Kiwanis Club of Claremont.
A former development and public relations executive, Mrs. Keith served as the fund development director for Uncommon, Project SISTER and House of Ruth, and as a special projects director for the Volunteer Center of the Greater Pomona Valley. In addition, Mrs. Keith has extensive experience in educational public relations, holding positions at Claremont Graduate University, Pitzer College and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Mrs. Keith has received several honors for her work in the community, including the Ruth Ordway Award from the League of Women Voters of Mt. Baldy Area, the YWCA Woman of Achievement Award, the Community Hero Award from the Los Angeles County Fair Association, the Richard S. Kirkendall Extraordinary Contribution Award, and the Claremont Management Association. She has also served as the Grand Marshal of Claremont's annual Fourth of July parade.
Mrs. Keith attended Lassen Community College and earned a bachelor's degree in English from California State University, East Bay. She completed postgraduate studies in art photography.
