Superintendent/President Message

For more than 50 years, Citrus College has hosted an annual Achievement Awards Ceremony to honor its most outstanding students. This heart-warming acknowledgement of student success has always been one of the college's most anticipated events. While a global pandemic has altered the format of this year's celebration, we are still excited to recognize the accomplishments of our students!

The individuals we celebrate in 2020 have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort in reaching their educational goals. As a result of their hard work, they have excelled in the classroom and on the athletic field, have made an impact on their communities, and have left their mark on Citrus College. Their efforts have been especially impressive this spring, as they have maintained high standards and remained actively engaged throughout the college's transition to a remote learning environment.

Watching students grow, develop and accomplish their goals is one of the main reasons people choose to pursue careers in education. For the faculty and staff who have invested in the honorees, these awards signify a job well done. Likewise, the family and friends who have cared for and encouraged these students can view their accomplishments with a sense of pride. After all, the guidance provided by these support systems has helped make their achievements possible.

As we wrap up this whirlwind academic year and continue to navigate the challenges associated with COVID-19, it is easy to get caught up in our busy schedules and planning for the future. I am grateful that this year’s Achievement Awards allow us to reflect on all that has been accomplished. We definitely have a lot to celebrate!

On behalf of the entire Citrus College community, it is my privilege to congratulate each of these outstanding students for a job well done. We are confident that your achievements will multiply in the days and years ahead.

Best wishes in your future academic professional endeavors! Stay healthy and stay safe!
