Seville, Spain: Spring 2020

In Spring 2020, you have the chance to study for 12 weeks in Seville, Spain! Experience life in the vibrant capital of Andalucía, Spain's historic southern region while enrolled in CSU/UC transferable community college courses. Steeped in thousands of years of history, the city boasts some of the most striking architecture, such as the Moorish Alcazar, the Gothic Cathedral, and the Renaissance Revival Plaza de Espana, and the influence of its many inhabitants can still be seen today. Within easy reach of the other southern cities of Cordoba, Granada, and Malaga, Seville is also well connected with the rest of Spain and Europe by bus, high speed rail and plane. The Portuguese border sits just over an hour's drive away, and northern Morocco is just a short ferry ride away.

This program allows you to study in Seville, Spain while enrolled in Citrus College courses; the courses are UC and/or CSU transferable.

Awards and loans are available for the Spring 2020 semester through the Citrus College Financial Aid Office.

Scholarship Information+-

How can you afford study abroad? Come to our Funding Study Abroad workshop on Friday, September 27 at 12noon in LH 102.

In order to successfully be awarded, students must apply to as many scholarships as possible (and as early as possible). Be sure to review Mt. SAC Study Abroad Advisor Casandra Rubio's scholarship worksheet.

Program Costs / What is Included? +-

The AIFS program fee is $7,845 (student apartment).

For an additional $495, students may opt for a homestay shared room that includes breakfast and dinner M-F.

Single rooms are also available.

Program Deadlines+-

Wednesday, November 27, 2019: $450 enrollment deposit deadline

Friday, December 27, 2019: Entire balance due (financial aid students will pay the majority of fees when they receive their awards/refunds)

Saturday, January 25, 2020: Mandatory orientation from 10 a.m. at Citrus College in CI 159.

AIFS Refund Policy+-

Email pcardenas@aifs.com and provide withdrawal intent.

For full details about the refund policy, please visit the AIFS student portal where you place your deposit. The information below is condensed and may not include all refund information.

On or before November 27, 2019:
All fees paid less a $150 processing fee and any non-refundable deposits paid by the student or by AIFS on the student's behalf.
After November 27, 2019, but on or before December 27, 2019:
All fees paid less $450 plus any non-refundable deposits paid either by the student or by AIFS on the student's behalf.
After December 27, 2019:
No refund, and the total program fee is due.
Once the program has begun:
No refund, unless AIFS suspends the program.
Because of covered medical reasons:
All fees paid less a $150 processing fee and $210 insurance premium.
