Continuing and Noncredit Education at Citrus College

​​​​​​​​​​​Citrus College Continuing and Noncredit Education offers lifelong personal and professional development opportunities designed to sharpen professional skills or help students learn new activities they can enjoy in their leisure time.

​Continuing education classes include noncredit courses and community education classes. The college does not​ give college credit for these classes; however, a few classes may offer continuing education credits that are required by some professions. Whatever your reason to enroll, continuing education at Citrus College makes it easy and fun to learn.

Noncredit Courses

Tuition-free, noncredit education supplements students'​ continued growth and skills development through classes that include basic skills, English as a Second Language (ESL), and certificates that can help students prepare for the workforce or continue their education. Noncredit courses are open entry, open exit classes. The courses are free – with no registration fee, proof of residency or prerequisites. Noncredit courses are a great choice for students seeking self-improvement for increased literacy and jobs skill or preparing for credit courses.

Community Education​

Fee-based community education classes are supported by your class fees, not state funds. Community education offers moderately-priced courses, workshops, fitness, health, and self-activities for persons who want to develop their professional skills, start or grow a business, enrich their cultural experiences,​​ their lives, and their relationships, or participate in entertainment and recreational activities. Classes are offered at the Citrus College campus, off-site locations, and online.​

Contract Education

Contract education offers workforce development training to local businesses and industry, designed to increase the skills of your workforce, and allowing you to remain competitive in a changing environment. Our contract education works closely with managers, deans, and internal trainers to identify the training needs of your workforce and customize training courses to meet those needs. The training can be conducted at Citrus College or at a corporate facility.

Location

Continuing education is located in the Lifelong Learning Center building, located in the main parking lot at the south-​we​st corner of the Citrus College campus, off Citrus Avenue.​ The Lifelong​ Learning Center is a portable-style building.​
