Citrus College Campus Closed, Students Receive Instruction Remotely
Glendora, Calif. (March 20, 2020) – While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Citrus College, out of an abundance of caution, college administrators made the difficult decision to transition courses to remote delivery of instruction, and to have college employees work remotely beginning March 18.
The changes have been challenging to implement, but the college has been working tirelessly to reinstate a level of normalcy for its students and provide academic continuity. The college believes providing highly structured and intentional coursework during this unprecedented crisis allows students to focus on positive material while also advancing their academic careers.
"I am proud of the manner in which the college's students, faculty, staff and alumni have adapted to this extraordinary situation," said Dr. Geraldine M. Perri, superintendent/president of Citrus College. "Their positive attitudes are a testament to the collaborative spirit of Citrus College."
The college is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and will continue to take all steps to ensure the safety of its constituent groups. For updates, please visit www.citruscollege.edu/covid19.
