A cohort of Citrus College students — as well as students from other Southern California Foothills Consortium colleges — are off and learning in London!

According to Erin Tate, Citrus College behavioral sciences instructor, things are going well across the pond:

"The students arrived Friday and checked into their apartments or home stays. As you can imagine, it's a very interesting time for them to be here, considering the Queen passed the day before they arrived. It's incredibly busy and crowded here at the moment, only to become more so in the next week, as thousands will come to the city to pay their respects.

"We had orientation meetings and a sightseeing tour of the city over the weekend. The jet lag is still real, but they seem to be settling in well so far. Today was our first British Life and Culture class, which included a field trip to The British Library. It's been great getting to know the students and watching them begin to explore the city. We'll hold the remainder of our first class sessions tomorrow. The students seem excited to be here, especially during such a historic occasion."

Thanks for the update, Ms. Tate!
