The Financial Resources Committee is a standing committee of the Citrus College Steering Committee.
Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Financial Resources Committee is to maintain effective communication concerning district financial resources and business operations, including reviewing income and expenditure assumptions, addressing academic and facility needs, making recommendations, and informing various college constituent groups of the status of funding and expenditures and any modifications made to the budget throughout the year in response to funding changes.
The committee strives to ensure fiscal transparency through:
- being knowledgeable about the budgeting process,
- focusing on the entire budget, rather than isolated parts of the budget, and
- providing and sharing information with constituent groups.
The committee reviews policies and procedures related to district financial resources and business operations; adheres to accreditation standards relating to the district's financial resources; and reviews and forwards recommendations of the Financial Resources Committee to the Steering Committee.
Meeting Frequency
The committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month, year-round, at 2 p.m. in AD 109 (unless otherwise noted).
Committee Composition
The number of members (14) is recommended by FRC and approved by the Steering Committee. Representatives from constituent groups are selected by those groups.
