Students are strongly encouraged to schedule a 45 minute appointment with a counselor to review their status for graduation and the graduation application.

Students may contact the Counseling and Advisement Center at (626) 914-8530 to schedule an appointment. Alternatively, an appointment may be scheduled online via the counseling and advisement appointment scheduling system.

Progress toward degree(s), certificate(s), and/or skill award(s) may be tracked using Degree Works.

Citrus College offers associate degrees for transfer (ADTs), as well as associate degrees in arts and in science (AA or AS).

The ADT is intended for students who plan to transfer to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a California State University (CSU) campus. Students who complete an ADT are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major.

Students may request their transcripts online.

• Current students will begin the transcript request process in the my.citruscollege.edu portal, specifically the Order Official Transcript page.
  
  
• Former students will begin the transcript request process in Parchment, the official digital credentials service used by Citrus College.

Students who are taking spring classes should request their transcript as soon as possible and indicate a hold until "after degree or certificate is posted."

Priority in evaluating and posting degrees on transcripts is given to students who are sending transcripts to four-year institutions.

IGETC certification is for students transferring to a University of California (UC) campus who want to confirm they have completed the transfer requirements for UC.

Students request IGETC certification when ordering an official transcript from Citrus College. Certifications should only be requested on the last (final) transcript going to the transfer university.

If the student has not completed the IGETC transfer pattern, they are not ready to send the transcript with this certification. However, if one has enough coursework completed, a partial IGETC certification may be sent.

If the student is using high school transcripts to meet the language requirement "other than the English requirement" for IGETC, please be certain the high school transcripts are on file with the Citrus College Admissions and Records office.

CSU GE certification is for students transferring to a California State University (CSU) who want to confirm they have completed the transfer requirements for the CSU.

Students request CSU GE certification when ordering an official transcript from Citrus College. Certifications should only be requested on the last (final) transcript going to the transfer college.

If the student has not completed the CSU GE, the transcript(s) are not ready to be sent with this certification. If one has enough coursework completed, a partial CSU certification may be sent to the university.

Students who are interested in applying to transfer will complete an online application.

Transfer requirements vary based on the college or university.

For an evaluation of whether admissions requirements for a specific university has been met, it is strongly recommended the student schedule an appointment with a counselor.

A financial aid application should be submitted and renewed each year. Add each university you may be attending in the financial aid application.

File the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application between October 1 and March 2 for the next academic year.

Universities send out admission decisions at different times, thus, it is important students check their email regularly for any updates. It is also recommended the student check their university portals frequently for updates and information regarding items which must be submitted to the university.

There are some important steps students will need to follow after applying for transfer.

Depending on the term applied for, a transfer application update may need to be submitted. Some universities also require completion of a supplemental application. The student should check email for any information sent from the university.

Degree(s) will typically be posted to a student's transcript approximately four to 10 weeks after the end of the term applied for.

During spring graduation, priority is given to students who have requested their transcript to be sent to a four-year university.

Students will receive an email notification from Citrus College Admissions and Records once degree(s) have been posted to the student's transcript.

Students may expect to receive their diploma as follows:

• Fall diplomas: mailed March of following year
• Spring diplomas: mailed September of the same year
• Summer diplomas: mailed November of the same year
• Winter diplomas: mailed April of the same year

Once the student has accepted admission to the university and a new ID number has been generated, an intake appointment with the university's disability office should be scheduled before the start of the first semester.

The student should request a copy of their current DSPS records by filling out and submitting the Release of Information from DSPS online form. Once received, the student may forward those documents to the disability office at the university.
