Summer Bridge is designed to help students make the transition from high school to college.
The program consists of a six-week, three unit course - COUN 210 EOPS Summer Bridge. Students who have participated in the program have the confidence and tools needed to achieve greater academic success.
Potential students please be aware of the following:
- If you will be under age 18 on June 21, 2021, you will need to submit an
"on target" letter from your high school counselor. "On target" letters must be submitted to admissions and records
prior to enrolling in summer classes.
- Be sure you apply for admissions to Citrus College.
- Be sure you have applied for the 2020-2021 FAFSA or California Dream Act. This will help determine if you are eligible for an enrollment fee waiver this summer and/or any other
financial aid opportunities.
COUN 210 EOPS Summer Bridge - Strongly recommended: For current high school graduates who have been admitted into the EOPS Summer Bridge program. As the main component of the EOPS Summer Bridge Program, this course centers around creating a successful transition from high school to college. Students will create their own plans for college success and beyond by exploring student development theories, issues relevant to first-generation college students, college success skills, and more.
In addition to becoming familiar with the campus environment and meeting students and staff, students will tour University of California and California State University campuses.
