Dual Enrollment Student Success Stories
College began well before high school graduation for the students and alumni featured here. Through dual enrollment, they explored new fields, pursued research, stepped into leadership roles and, in some cases, completed degrees and certificates while still in their teens. Their stories reveal how early access to college, paired with curiosity and determination, can accelerate academic progress and open pathways to universities, careers and new possibilities.
HAMZA EL LAHIB
A dual enrollment rock history class led Hamza El Lahib to political science, campus leadership and UC Berkeley research. Now earning his transfer degree, he hopes to study international relations and become a teacher who opens doors for others.
DANIEL HALL-MACIAS
Dual enrollment gave Daniel Hall-Macias an extraordinary head start. After balancing high school with college for four years, he completed four Citrus College credentials and moved on to UCLA with psychology, law school and entrepreneurship in view.
CELESTE MEDINA
From dual enrollment and graduating first in her high school class to statewide PTK recognition, Celeste Medina has built a remarkable academic record. Next, she plans to study psychology and work toward becoming an FBI criminal behavior analyst.

Jessie San's Citrus College journey began at 13 and quickly moved beyond the classroom. Through student government, Phi Theta Kappa and the support of a trusted mentor, she found both her voice and a mission in mental health advocacy.
