Twelve student representatives from the Citrus College Clarion newspaper and Logos Magazine participated in a regional Journalism Association of Community Colleges (JACC) conference on Sept. 29 at California State University, Fullerton. The team finished with 28 individual awards – 21 from publication contests for work published by the Clarion and Logos during the 2017-2018 academic year and seven from on-the-spot contests held during the convention.

Citrus College also won three important team awards: the Clarion newspaper, Clarion website and Logos magazine each won "General Excellence" recognition in their respective categories. This is the highest overall recognition a publication can receive, and it encompasses design, photography, writing and more.
