Congratulations to Mariano Rubio, a Citrus College automotive technology and engineering instructor, who was recently named the 2025 Mitchell 1/Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician of the Year!
"[Rubio's] exemplary performance each and every day makes him an outstanding example of excellence in the automotive industry," Cami Hermann, director of marketing at Mitchell 1, said in a statement.
To qualify for the award, the winner must satisfy several criteria, including achieving the status of ASE Master Certification and maintaining the highest average passing score across all automobile tests within the past five years.
As the award winner, Rubio received an all-expenses paid trip to attend the ASE awards banquet in Savannah, Georgia, as well as a $1,000 cash prize.
