Career and Technical Education Advisory Councils
Career and technical education programs must be consistent with the ever-changing economic-development needs of the local and regional communities, as well as needs at state level and nationwide.
The evolving workforce of an industry and professions make it necessary to study short and long-range of current and future preparation for employment. Citrus College must keep its instruction current with present and future demands of business and industrial workforce.
The role of the advisory councils in career and technical education is to guide and counsel those who are charged with the responsibility for developing and maintaining career and technical education programs. The advisory councils are comprised of community industry and technology leaders who have a special knowledge and interest in each area's occupational growth and development. Each member is a rich source of information for the college board of trustees, administrators and the faculty whose mission it is to teach and develop employable students.
