I am Becky Rudd, and I have been teaching English at Citrus College since 2006. I have a bachelor of arts in English and a master of arts in English composition with an emphasis in TESL (teaching English as a second language), both from California State University, San Bernardino.

My passion as a teacher is helping students develop their own approach to writing and become critical readers, thinkers, and writers. In my honors program classes, I enjoy hearing from my students as they transition from viewing writing as a way to show what they know (or have read) to writing as a way to share what they think!

I am a former California community college student, having attended both Orange Coast College and Chaffey College. My husband and two children also started their college education at community colleges.

I am a native Californian and grew up in Orange County. Since 1993, I have lived in the Inland Empire, which has become home. I enjoy reading a variety of genres, including mystery, legal thrillers, fantasy, and science fiction.
