Accommodation Reconsideration
Students registered with the disabled student programs and services department (DSPS) who disagree with an accommodation decision made by a DSPS counselor may appeal the decision by engaging in an accommodation reconsideration process.
REQUESTING AN ACCOMODATION RECONSIDERATION
To request reconsideration of an accommodation decision, students must complete and
submit the Accommodation Request for Reconsideration Form.
APPEAL PROCESS
INFORMAL RESOLUTION PROCESS for DSPS CONCERNS
If a student has a concern about staff, services or accommodations being provided or needs liaison support with an instructor, they should contact DSPS.
- Students should contact DSPS at dsps@citruscollege.edu as soon as they become aware of a concern.
- If the concern is not resolved through the DSPS staff, the student may request to meet with the DSPS director, Dr. Ana Quiroz, aquiroz@citruscollege.edu.
- If the concern is not resolved after meeting with the DSPS director, the student may request to meet with the dean of counseling programs and services.
- If the concern is not resolved after meeting with the dean of counseling programs and services, the student may submit a grievance. Students should refer to the Student Grievance Process, Complaint Procedures website for more information.
GRIEVANCE PROCESS AND PROCEDURES
If a student has completed the DSPS informal resolution process and the matter has not been resolved to their satisfaction, the student may submit a grievance following the college's student grievance process. Students should refer to the Student Grievance Process, Complaint Procedures website for more information.
FORMAL COMPLAINT PROCESS (Disability Discrimination)
The formal process is available to the student during or after any step in the informal process, who believe they have experienced discrimination on the basis of disability.
