Bird's eye view of RDA class in sessionCitrus College's Registered Dental Assisting (RDA) Program provides comprehensive, quality education in Dental Assisting and prepares you for both the Dental Assistant National Board Examination and the California State RDA Exam. Both the Dental Board of California and the Commission of Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association accredit the program.

Graduates of the Citrus RDA program receive a Certificate of Achievement and are eligible to take the California licensing examination (RDA) from the Dental Board of California and the National Certification Exam (CDA). They will also earn a Radiation Safety Certificate, a Coronal Polish Certificate and a Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate. Eighteen units of the thirty unit program can be applied to an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting.

The employment rate for graduates of the program is usually over 90%, with most students being hired upon graduation. The average pass rate on the State Board Exam (RDA Exam) is 100% on the written exam and 93% on the practical exam (state average is 80%).
