Purpose
The Curriculum Committee is a standing committee established by the Academic Senate. Its rules and responsibilities are defined in the Academic Senate Constitution and Administrative Procedures (BP and AP 4020). It is responsible for reviewing and recommending for approval course proposals, general education/associate degree requirements, and course pre-requisites. The committee plays a leadership role in recommending the future direction of the educational program and curricular offerings of the college. Membership is designed to ensure representation across the College, including members representing all divisions as well as articulation, the library, the Academic Senate, and the Associated Students of Citrus College. Goals for 2022-2023
- Review and update all courses that are due for six-year review (II.A.2, II.A.3, and II.A.4)
- Submit new and modified courses and ADTs to the CCCCO for C-ID review and approval (II.A.1, II.A.13)
- Develop new ADTs to provide additional transfer pathways to the CSUs and UCs as they are approved through the State (II.A.1, II.A.13)
- Support faculty use of CourseLeaf course and program forms
- Partner with Program Review, SLOA, Articulation and Guided Pathways to assist the college in long-term planning as it relates to Curriculum and the 10 + 1 (II.A.3 and II.A.12)
- Update the Curriculum Handbook
- Partner with the College Community, DEIA+ and Academic Senate to develop diversity, equity and inclusion guidance as it pertains to curriculum
