ASSOCIATE STUDENTS OF CITRUS COLLEGE
The Associated Students of Citrus College (ASCC) represents all students enrolled at Citrus College who pay the ASCC student service fee. Guided by its executive and program boards, ASCC organizes a wide range of educational, cultural and social activities open to the entire student body.
Through active participation in campuswide committees, ASCC ensures that student voices are heard in decisions shaping the college experience, in alignment with shared governance principles.
ASCC offers something for everyone — whether you want to plan campus events, serve in student government, join one of our diverse clubs or simply connect with new friends. Membership comes with valuable perks, including exclusive services, benefits and discounts at local businesses and amusement parks.
STUDENT REPRESENTATION FEE and BENEFITS PROGRAM
The $2 student representation fee is used by the Associated Students of Citrus College and the Student Senate of California Community Colleges to advocate and lobby for legislative issues that affect and benefit community colleges and community college students both at the state and federal level.
A student may refuse to pay this fee by completing and submit the student representation fee waiver online form each semester, prior to paying for classes and completing the registration process. Please do this early. It may take up to three full business days for the fee to be waived. This fee is non-refundable.
How will the student representation fee be used?
The $2 student representation fee is regulated by the California Education Code 76060.5. Funds may be utilized for any of the following:
- advertisements consisting of information about legislative issues of interest to the student body at large
- attendance at conferences and meetings of student-centered, non-partisan organizations
- hosting non-partisan conferences or meetings on legislative issues
- leadership and advocacy training, awareness and information
- purchasing of equipment and supplies used for lobbying and/or advocacy such as computers, printers, faxes, modems, software, postage and accessories
- subscriptions to newsletters and/or magazines of higher education
- travel expenses for lobbying and/or advocacy of students

Buying your Associated Students of Citrus College (ASCC) student service fee is your ticket to accessing many benefits and discounts on campus!
These benefits include:
- discounted movie and theme park tickets at the cashier's office in the Student Services (SS) Building
- campus activities, contests and giveaways
- use of mobile device chargers in the Campus Center
- foosball and other board games in the Campus Center
Additional discounts and campus events are available throughout the semester. Stop by the student life and leadership development office, located in the Campus Center (CC 106) or email studentlife@citruscollege.edu for information.

Step into leadership and help shape the future of Citrus College. In student government, you'll have the chance to influence campus decisions, advocate for your peers, develop leadership skills, make new friends and manage a budget of more than $450,000.
Recognized as one of the top student government programs in California, Citrus College offers leadership roles in both elected and appointed positions. Elected roles include student trustee, president, vice president, legislative liaison and senators. Appointed roles include treasurer, commissioners for public relations, activities, athletics, inter-club relations and commissioners-at-large.
