Paul Dennis

Paul Dennis is a lieutenant with the Azusa Police Department. During his career in law enforcement, he has held a variety of assignments which include jailer, police officer, detective, sergeant, S.W.A.T. team member and S.W.A.T. team commander. He is currently assigned to the patrol division and serves as the sector area commander for the southern portion of Azusa.

Lt. Dennis earned an athletic scholarship to Azusa Pacific University where he was a competitive athlete in track and field specializing in 400 meter and 800 meter events. He was recognized as an all-American athlete for six years. During his undergraduate years at APU, the track team won four consecutive NAIA Conference National Championships. Lt. Dennis was born in Northern England and competed in the World University Games for Great Britain in 1989 and 1991.

Lt. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management at Azusa Pacific University. He has been an instructor at Citrus College since 2003.
