Job Duties
As a student assistant at the Campus Center front desk, you will help ensure the facility is used appropriately by monitoring student behavior and reporting any policy violations to staff. You will assist students with the GoPass bus program, provide access to the food pantry, check out equipment and support the overall cleanliness of the Campus Center. The role also includes helping set up and break down events. You may occasionally be asked to wear the mascot costume for campus activities along with other duties as assigned.
Days/Hours
Winter 2026 session: Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Spring 2026 semester: Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Student Assistant — Counseling and Advisement Center
Job Duties: Student workers in the Counseling and Advisement Center will answer office phones, schedule appointments, make appointment reminder phone calls, and refer students to appropriate departments. Student workers will also assist with projects and other duties as assigned.

Student Tutor — STEM Center/Mathematics
Job Duties: Student tutors will include tutoring in approved subjects, maintaining the STEM Center and its materials, attending required trainings and meetings, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed. Tutors must have earned an A or B in the relevant subject(s). A letter of recommendation and unofficial transcripts must be provided upon request.

Job Duties: Student tutors will be expected to tutor peer Citrus College students in the subject for which they were hired. Tutors must have earned an A or B grade in the relevant subject(s). Meetings and training are required to ensure that proper tutoring procedures are met.

Scribe (Note-Taking) Assistant — Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS)
Job Duties: Student employee will attend class with the DSPS student to scribe notes during a lecture from the instructor, white board, class group work, etc., as directed. Lab scribes will execute actions by the student under lab instructor's instruction/direction.
Requirements: Must have photo ID and original Social Security card for hiring purposes. Must be dependable, communicative, type at a proficient speed, and/or have good penmanship. Must attend "scribe orientation" prior to start date. Federal Work Study student preferred, but not required -- please check eligibility with financial aid
prior to submitting application.

Session Lead or Program Assistant — Neighborhood Homework House
Job Duties: Participate in both formal and informal supervision, including check-ins and team meetings. Serve as an Academic Mentor to a small group of students by building supportive relationships and fostering academic growth. Welcome students and volunteers to the tutoring program, manage tutoring sessions by facilitating lessons, addressing behavior challenges, and supporting volunteers as needed. Distribute snacks to students during sessions and assist with student pick-up procedures. Attend relevant organizational events and meetings, which may occasionally take place outside of regular working hours. Perform other related duties as needed to support the mission of NHH.

Early Childhood Teacher Assistant — Neighborhood Homework House
Job Duties: Collaborate with the lead teacher to monitor the class schedule, develop lesson plans, and review materials with students individually or in small groups. Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment, and supervise students during non-classroom times such as before and after class, snack breaks, and field trips. Work with the lead teacher to identify student challenges and recommend appropriate solutions. Track student progress, communicate regularly with parents, and participate in weekly team and supervision meetings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a monthly supply inventory, supporting volunteer and staff training, and assisting participant families by making phone calls, connecting them with resources, and facilitating video conferences. Availability for occasional work outside of regular hours is expected at least once per semester for organizational events, meetings, or staff trainings.
