Welcome Center

Counselors are available to provide assistance with academic advising including selecting classes, creating your student education plan (SEP), transfer, and academic status. Also, counselors are available in a variety of specialty counseling areas such as athletics, Black Scholars, foster youth, nursing, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Counseling appointments and drop-in counseling can be scheduled through the online scheduler or by calling (626) 914-8530. Appointments and drop-in are offered in-person, via Zoom, or by telephone.

The Counseling and Advisement Center is located on the second floor of the Student Services Building.

The Counseling Short-Stop is located on the first floor of the Student Services Building, where counselors can be asked quick questions during drop-in counseling hours and there are computers available for any of your academic needs.

After connecting with a counselor, you may view your SEP online at any time.

Registration assistance forums and success strategies workshops are offered throughout the year. Please visit the group counseling web page for more information.

Career services are available to help you explore and choose a major or career path, as well as provide you with information and resources to assist in your job or internship search.

You may schedule a career counseling appointment through the online scheduler or by calling (626) 914-8639.

The Career/Transfer Center (CTC) offers career and transfer-related workshops and events throughout the semester. The CTC office is located on the second floor of the Student Services Building.

Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS) provides a wide range of reasonable accommodations for qualified students with verifiable disabilities.

New students may submit a DSPS application and disability documentation online. Review the Getting Started web page for more details.

Continuing DSPS students may also schedule an appointment with a DSPS counselor if they have not updated their file to obtain their 2023-2024 academic accommodation plan (AAP).

The CalWORKs program at Citrus College serves student-parents who are receiving cash-aid with a variety of services, including completion of county paperwork, ancillary requests and work-study job placement.

The CalWORKs office is located on the second floor of the Student Services Building.

EOPS/CARE/NextUp is a counseling program at Citrus College that serves a variety of students, including first generation, foster youth, high school AVID participants, and parents receiving cash-aid who are eligible for the California College Promise Grant.

Many services are provided to students, including priority registration, funding to purchase textbooks, tutoring, grants and high-level counseling support. Interested students may apply by completing an EOPS application.

The EOPS/CARE/NextUp office is located on the second floor of the Student Services Building.
